JOEL 2:12-13
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.”

ASH WEDNESDAY
Today kicks off a 40-day + 6 Sunday journey where you will focus on reflection + repentance + renewal.
I want to encourage you to lean into this season of preparation as you focus on celebrating the Risen King on Easter.
Ash Wednesday is a solemn and introspective day that creates space to stare at your sin that has broken and fractured your life. But don't stop there. You are committing to God and yourself to leverage this season of LENT (40 days + 6 Sundays) to seek God, repent from the sin that has had a stranglehold on you, and look towards the healing that Jesus so freely gives.
Focus on the word return as you read through Joel 2:12-13. And then take the bold, difficult, freeing, and revealing step: Name that sin that has a stranglehold on you. Repent. And return to God.

(What is God telling you to do? Write it down!)

- PRAY -
Pause and pray. Pray over the Scripture and listen to what God is saying to you. Celebrate God's presence and hand your requests over to Him.
