JOHN 8:58
“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Jesus' statement sent shockwaves throughout Palestine. The weight of just two words—I AM—left people paralyzed and filled with an uneasy wonder. His carefully chosen words were designed to help people begin to understand who he truly was.
Everyone was familiar with the story: it was told repeatedly from a young age. Moses encountered a bush that was on fire but not consumed by the flames. This surreal moment drew Moses closer, and soon, a voice began to speak to him—a voice coming from the bush. (Moses likely thought, "I didn't expect this day to become any more bizarre.”) When Moses asked the voice for its name, the response was both simple and profound: "I am who I am." (Exodus 3:14)
"I AM" signifies God's eternal existence and reveals His everlasting power. With those two words, Jesus proclaimed that He was God.
Today, take a moment to reflect on this incredible truth: God chose to become man, all for you.

(What is God telling you to do? Write it down!)
