Remember, prayer is a conversation between you and your Heavenly Father. These guiding thoughts are provided to help assist you.
Start your prayer with, "Hey, Dad" ...
Seek understanding and healing from pain connected to your earthly father
Release the feeling of being inadequate and unqualified in the area of prayer
Share exactly what is on your heart - no matter how raw and unfiltered
Create space to actually listen. God speaks through scripture, through whispers, and through other people
Pray through Ephesians 3:14-17
Out of all the names & titles Jesus could have chosen, he chose Abba
Identify what is hindering your relationship with your Eternal Father
Write a letter to your Eternal Father about your earthly father. This might be easy or extremely difficult. Either way, write it out with the pursuit to help you grasp a new image.
Pray through Ephesians 3:14-17. Focus on each thought that the Apostle Paul wrote. Do you believe it? What is God saying to you?
Capture anything that enters your mind. Don't worry if it doesn't make sense. You never know what God will say to you tomorrow that will reveal what He is saying to you today.
