Baptism is a powerful step in a person’s spiritual journey. But with so many traditions, denominations, and differing perspectives, people often question what baptism really represents, who should take this step, and why it’s important.

We all long for God’s grace, especially when we’ve failed. Yet showing that same grace to those who have hurt us deeply can feel nearly impossible. But when we choose to reflect His radical grace, it shows God’s heart to the world.

We all have tendencies to build barriers that exclude others. Yet time and again, God reminds us that His mission, accomplished through the church, welcomes everyone without exception.

We all must regularly realign ourselves with God’s mission, continually clarifying what He has called us to be part of and intentionally removing obstacles that hinder people from following Jesus.

Churches sometimes put up barriers, intentionally or unintentionally, that keep people out. We must become bridge-builders—meeting people where they are and walking with them on their spiritual journey. Together, let’s lead boldly and remain unhindered in the mission of the church.
